Picking a venue is a huge part of planning your wedding, and it kind of makes the whole thing feel real. Once you’ve gathered your guest list and picked a date you will want to lock down a venue because they book up far in advance and quickly.
The first thing you want to keep in mind when picking a venue is your vision.
How do you envision your wedding day?
Outdoor, indoor, destination, big, small?
Once you have your vision, the rest will be easy.
The next important part of picking a venue is budget.
What is your budget?
Does your vision and budget line up? If you’re having trouble sticking to your budget, talking to a wedding planner might be helpful. It is important to figure out what you should be spending on and where you can save, to help keep you in budget and keep your vision alive.
It is important to do your research.
Once you have narrowed a few venues down it is important to price everything out. Some venues offer full service while others will allow you to have your own vendors. Does full service fit your vision and budget better? Or, should you look into hiring your own vendors.
Once you’ve figured out which route fits you better, you should be left with a few favorites. This is the time to be picky and make the final decision on which fits you best!
I hope this was helpful! Comment below what you envision your wedding day looking like!
